why does my screen go black with a wheel going around then returns to the home page

when i try to go to an app my screen will go black a small wheel appears going around then goes back to the home page WHY?

What device/model/software version do you have?  Does this happen when accessing ANY app or certain ones?  Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the problem apps?  Sounds like a problem loading the app.

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...

this happen even when i am not using my phone as well as trying to read

emails, texts. on a call or anything

i have a iphone 6s version 11.1.2 model is MKV72LL/A

We appreciate these additional details, NANJAR43. With your phone, please hold down both the Power and Home keys together for about six seconds until your phone shuts off. This will mimic a battery pull since your phone's internal battery cannot be removed. Let us know if your iPhone's performance improves.

  Hello NANJAR43, lets try doing a reset of the iPhone, It appears you might be in a software loop type snag.

Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the upper right side of the iPhone.

While holding the ON/OFF button, press and hold the Home button on the front of the iPhone at the same time.

Keep holding both buttons, the screen will turn OFF. Keep holding until the Apple Logo appears. Then release both buttons, and the iPhone should reset.

Not to worry we have additional steps to try. Please use the following link to try resetting your network settings https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-207110/. Once you have completed this step test your phone to see if you have the same issues. Please also make sure all of your applications are updated in the app store.
