First question: If I backup my phone on my computer does my apple music play lists get backed up?
Second question: When I try to backup my phone is says it can't because it is corrupted. How can I fix this and if I can't should I purchase more cloud space so I don't loose my dirt when I need to switch phones?

We are happy to answer all your Verizon Wireless questions, dionlowe. I know how important it is to backup your phone's content and keep a safe copy of your important information. if you backup your phone to the iCloud using your computer your music playlist will be saved to the iCloud.
If you are not able to backup your phone because of a corrupted system file, buying more iCloud space will not resolve the issue.
If you cannot do a backup due to the corrupted error that you're getting, you may need to do a factory reset of your device via iTunes as per this link (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252).
