As of 11-3-19 my iPhone's Data usage has still not been fixed when checking it on my laptop. On that Data Usage fuked page (still not fixed yet) there are at least 7 straight instances of data useage listed that are for the same date and the same time. They are all around 750MB and each one varies a little.
I got an alert that my data was near used up. I only browse news sites and am quick to pause any news videos that play. The chat person reiterated that the data used is correct even tho the Usage Data page is messed up by their own admission. I am now questioning that and believe the messed up daily Data Usage page is showing that did actually drain my data. What's notable (as mentioned above) is that those 750MB numbers vary. Some read 747.05 others read around the same amount. If I'm not being ripped off, then all those numbers should read exactly the same. They are for the same day and time !!! All the tech could do is advise me on how I use my phone, which I don't need to hear. It's as if they only read and tally up all those erroneous usage data and tell me what data I have left. I need to contact someone other than a chat person and have someone do some serious auditing. I believe I'm owed at least 4GB of data. Did I mention it's been 9 days now and my Data Usage page is still stuck on showing that erroneous data? I think that erroneous data was added up and is the reason I got an alert on low data left. Has anyone had something like this happen to them? How am I going to get some straight answers from them? HELP!
Data reported online isn't in real time, it's when it's last reported back.
If data is an issue, go to settings - cellular - and turn off wifi assist. Also deny data to apps if they aren't that important so they function on WiFi only.
Data usage isn't some Verizon voodoo.
"Data usage isn't in real time". No duh? What about the 7 or so multiple varying 750MB data usages listed for the exact same day and time? Whether Wifi data is on or off, how does that account for the few apps I use adding up to multiple 750(+ or -) MB data usage amounts? Did you carefully read my post or just glance over it?
I talked with chat again and they have opened a ticket for me. The results will be known in about 36 hours when I check my Verizon account page. I'm not only hoping they've fixed the data usage page showing correctly, but I may be getting some GB's of data credited back to me.
