Whenever I dial the #48 it says it's not 4G LTE. I have zero reception at my house and need to see if I need to switch out.

It is troubling to hear about the issue you are having with the network extender, sth1988, and I would be happy to assist. Let's gather a few clues together to work towards a solution.
Have you attempted to power the phone and extender off/on? Have you added any new apps to the phone since the purchase? Does the phone or extender have any damage at all?

The current incompatibility between the Apple iPhone 7 and the Samsung 3G Network Extender is being investigated. You can try to Reset Network Settings -
1. Settings
2. General
3. Reset
4. Reset Network Settings
OR
Disable Enable LTE and power cycle the device and then re-test. Please reply with your findings. Thank you.

Is this confirmed that there is an issue? I have been having problems as well. Only showing 2-3 bars most of the time, before I upgraded to iPhone 7 it showed straight 5 bars.

That is a good question and I would be more than happy to help. It is important to us that your network extender work properly with your smart phone.
We do not have a reported known issue in regards to the 3G network extender. Just for clarification, have you added any new apps or software updates since purchasing the phone? Have you reset the extender as of yet Connect and Power On - Verizon Wireless Network Extender - 1X/EvDO/Business | Verizon Wireless ?

I don't think it is possible to reset the network extender? I know for sure I can't use wifi calling otherwise it won't connect to extender.

If you have internet, using a wifi router, you don't need the extender. Use wifi calling. That is basically what the extender does...connects you to the internet to send/receive Verizon calls/texts.
