My grand-daughter can not remember her login for I Tunes nor the pass code she put to into phone. I went to our local Verizon with being told they can't help because is against the law" whoever has heard of that? I have tried her phone to my I Tunes and hold home button and of course I keep getting try again in an hour. If our local Verizon can't help I guess the only good for that store is to sell. We have been with Verizon so many years I can't recall. I need some help to get in this phone. She does not use I Cloud. Even if she need she still can't remember her code. We did the 4 digit code thinking it would keep her phone safe. I guess for the future I will need to write it down for her. Please help. Until I hear from somebody I guess I will keep trying to guess.
Thank you kindly
Janice

Verizon's response above applies to the AppleID, aka the iCloud login. It sounds like you're actually locked out of the phone by the 4-digit passcode. If that's the case, then unfortunately the only way to get back into the phone is by doing a Factory Reset on it. Since you can't get into the phone settings to perform it, you'll have to do it via iTunes.
1. Connect the iPhone to a comptuer running iTunes.
2. Restart the iPhone by holding Volume Down and Power together.
3. Continue holding both buttons until the phone boots past the Apple logo to an iTunes logo.
4. iTunes should now show a window on your computer, giving you an option to "Restore" the phone.
5. Complete the restore, and the iPhone should restart like a brand new phone. iTunes will probably need to download the current iOS update before it completes the restore.
