Problem with service

I’m unable to send texts, use the internet and Apple Maps anytime I’m on a voice call and not connected to WiFi. This cant  be right.

What make/model phone do you have?  Are you able to do those things when not on a voice call and not connected to WiFi?

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...

iPhone 7 and yes I can do all those things when I’m not on a voicecall and not connected to WiFi.

Turn on VoLTE on the phone.

kkim85, We're here to make sure you can use your internet during your calls. To be able to use voice and data at the same time on your iPhone 7, you need to have HD Voice activated with Voice & Data selected. 

http://spr.ly/6580DpqKi Item 2 under "Basics and Benefits" explains what this is. On item 1 under "Turning HD Voice On/Off on Your Phone" it explains how to do this. Does this help? Are you able to use your data during calls now?

Getting the service you should be getting on your phone is a must, kkim85. We are here to help. To be able to use data while on a call, the feature needed to do that is LTE enabled for Voice. Here is a link with steps on how to turn that feature on http://vz.to/2FJeqhy
