Recently I upgraded from a basic type phone to iPhone 7. It mostly works great except for just a few of my contacts, text messages I send are not received by them. I was able to text these people on the old phone. I can still call them and they can text me. Has anyone else had this experience or have an idea what's causing it? Thanks for any help.

June95,
I'm very sorry to hear that your new phone isn't doing everything it should. We always want to keep you connected. What happens when you try to text these people? What type of phone do they have?

Are the texts that you can send going to people with iPhones but not those using a non-iPhone?
See if this helps.
- Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
- Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
- On your iPhone first, sign back in to iMessage and Facetime.
- Sign back in to iMessage and Facetime on your other devices.
Not sure if it will help you but it won't hurt to try. Also consider contacting Verizon directly to make sure there aren't any issues on their end.
