Data usage spike

In 4 days of my new billing cycle my husbands iPhone 8 used 4.85 go.  We were notified by text that we were at 50%.  Two minutes later at 25% and 2 minutes later that we were out of data.

my husbands phone does not agree if you look at data usage under cellular.  Verizon can not tell me how we used it or why it does not show on his phone

smy ideas of what might have happened?

wifi assist is off and has been off

That's a lot of data to use in such a short time. I'd be just as concerned about that as you are. We want to make sure we get to the bottom of this. We'll be glad to help. 


What amount of data is your husband's phone showing was used? Where are you checking that information? If you go into your settings under cellular and scroll down, when does it say the statistics there were last reset?
