Finding son’s location when he turns his location off

My son turns his location off 

is there anyway to find where he is?

We absolutely understand how important it is to be able to know where your child is at any given time. While we do offer great products and services that help achieve this, such as Verizon SmartFamily, for the protection and privacy of all users, these features do not function is location services are not active. This means that website searches, apps, and other things that rely on accurate GPS location information will not be functional while location services are turned off. Unfortunately this does include tracking your son via our services. Depending on the type of phone he has, there may be parental control settings that would require a passcode to be able to make changes to the phone's device settings which include location services. What type of phone does your son use?  Does this make sense?
