How do I report these? They are not coming from a phone number.

Im not sure this is the correct procedure but I have read through alot of posts and threads exactly like this one. 100’s of people are have the same issue. I block the incoming text then screenshot it and send it to 7726. When Verizon responds requesting  the number I send back the email even though I know they should see it in the screenshot. I get them all the time.

Here's another post on this:

It also links to another mega thread with this issue.

So far, Verizon won't do anything for you. They have 0 support for this.

I get at least 5 a day. All spam from an email with a link to meet my hot neighbor or something along those lines. I can block the email addresses all day they just keep coming. I also send them to the scam line which isn’t much help. I have also added the spam filter and enabled the function to not get texts from emails yet still every day they continue.

Hi BigAl52,

We know that unwanted messages can be annoying. We can help here. Thanks for forwarding the messages. Let's continue troubleshooting. Please add a Spam Block using the email address(s) that is sending the messages. Click here for instructions https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-200868/ . Keep me posted with the results.

Thanks,

Dixiecup79, we want to make sure that you're not receiving any spam messages. There are many that you may still get, but the good thing is that you can block them. Please take a look at #10 on this page https://www.verizon.com/support/block-unblock-services-faqs/ that shows how you can forward this to 7726 to get it blocked. Sometimes people "disguise"/spoof the email address/number that they are sending it from, so it can be difficult to stop things all together so quickly. By forwarding these to 7726, that brings specific examples for us to review with the FCC to determine where these are coming from so we can resolve it from the source.

One other thing is to check to see if your email account linked to your phone number in the Settings if you have an iPhone. Please navigate: Settings > Messages > Filter Unknown Senders.
