Assurion Fraud

Assurion sent me two defective replacements. The phones wouldn't even get past the activation stage. This seems like fraud to me. They have profited off my monthly payments and then do not perform under their terms. Verizon: You need to do better than this. Its ungodly what they charge for their so called protection.

Verizon doesn't need to "do better" here. They don't own Asurion. They don't control Asurion rates. They don't control Asurion stock. Having Asurion coverage isn't mandatory.

You're free to stop paying money to Asurion get insurance elsewhere next time you buy a new phone. Alternatively, you can not opt into insurance at all and use the savings over time to use towards a brand new phone vs a refurbished one.
