Can I activate my device on a Canadian carrier?

Hi. I'm sure this question has been asked. Can one bring a Verizon device (iPhone SE) to Canada and use it as a Canadian phone (I assume by swapping the American SIM to a Canadian one)? I'll be canceling Verizon and will be with a Canadian phone company. Of course I'll be losing the US phone number, but I want to do it instead of keeping my US phone with a travel pass. Thanks!

Though this is possible in theory, the difference in technologies (GSM in Canada vs. CDMA in the U.S. with VZW) there may be issues getting everything to work right off the bat and may involve additional programming on the phone itself for all services to work. The only way to know for sure however, is to try.

Lukevinyl, we do thank you for that information. All 4G LTE device are unlocked and are supported on other international carriers. Though this is up to that provider if it can or can not be used.
