End of my flip phone

Been using a flipper  for 30 years and Verizon has informed me it will not be supported first of the year. So contemplating a $240 flip phone of the I phone SE. Looking for advice on single line plans. I basically just text and call, take some pics with my cruddy camera. So looking for a pretty basic plan and a phone with a descent camera. Maybe a few apps but not much, Right now on my flip I have unlimited calls and texts and my cell is hooked in to my home phone for about $68 a month including taxes. Guessing I can't touch that with a smart phone plan. So can anyone recommend something reasonable for a very moderate user? Thanks for any advice given.

We can tell that you're a fan of your flip phone, and we want to make sure that you're able to use the type of device you want. We do sell flip phones that are compatible with our network, so you can keep the same flippy experience that you love. Check out our latest flip phones here: https://www.verizon.com/basic-phones/

If your bill is bundled, that may need to be unbundled if your plan was for basic phones only.

Cheapest postpaid plan is 5GB for $30 + $25 for the line ($35 if you don't do autopay).

If you plan of buying the phone outright, you can go to a $30 prepaid plan with unlimited talk/text 500mb of data.

confused, are they doing away with flip phones?  Elderly friend on her son's verizon plan and he had to buy her a new flip phone a few months ago because she dropped and broke her old one.  I noticed when helping her it has 4G so I assume it will still be good and not discontinued?  She is in her 80's and no way can adapt to a smart phone.

Only not supporting those old flip phones that aren't compatible with the new networks.  The link posted previously has all the compatible flip phones.  Here are two compatibles on the Verizon web site:

I see, poster made it sound different.   They could just get a new flip phone then if they want.

acraftylady2 All devices will now include 4G. The old CDMA Network is no longer available. She certainly does not have to use it as a smartphone but the option is there. Does this help?
