Can I sell unused iphones that I'm making payments on?

I got my kids iPhone XRs for Christmas. They didn't want them. I didn't return them in time, so now I have two brand-new, non-activated, unopened iphones that I am making payments on. Can I sell the phones and continue to make the payments or do I have to pay them off before selling?

I am saddened your children were not happy with the Christmas presents and that you missed the return time frame. Yes, you certainly sale the devices at your discretion and continue to make payments.

You can, but it's sketchy.
Better option would ask what is left to pay them off and sell.
