I have a Korean sim card that I used while I lived in Korea. I now live in the US and I bought a new iPhone a few months ago. I will be traveling back to Korea for a few weeks. Will I be able to insert my sim card in my phone without any extra charges? I put my Korean phone plan on hold when I left so I probably still have my Korean phone number. Once I put in the sim card, can I use my phone normally without any international charges for data, etc.?
Without your Verizon SIM card, you can't use Verizon service, so removing it would prevent charges.
Your phone woukd have been automatically unlocked after 60 days.
yehjessskim, I know how important it is for you to be able to use the phone while traveling internationally. The good news is that since it has already been active on our network in the U.S., you can now use it globally. Does this help?
