I just got my phone 2 days ago and it says i'm 31 usage minutes over but I have an unlimited plan. It was saying something like if you aren't in your home network, you will get charged. I'm only a half hour from my house at meetings so how I am 31 minutes over?

Do you have Prepaid or Postpaid service? Where are you seeing those messages about the minutes and home network?

Where are you seeing that your "over." Did you do #MIN + send button?

Appreciate the clarification. Where are you seeing those messages about the minutes and home network? Temporarily, we can also Disable Data Roaming to ensure you are not connecting to another network. See how here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-206810/.
