Verizon vs ATT data calculation difference

I'm a recent switcher from AT&T to Verizon. When my iPhone XR was in the monthly AT&T 9 GB plan, my data usage was always in the 6 GB range.  I have been a prepaid Verizon customer for a few months with the same phone, I've noticed Verizon calculate or accumulate data higher than AT&T.  I'm using fewer data and but it's reaching 15 GB per month with Verizon.      Has anyone noticed the data calculation difference between the two providers?

I'd reset your data stats on your phone on the first of your new cycle and compare when that cycle closes.

Tigerstep, how would that change the calculation of the data in my verizon plan?

I’m using the MyVerizon app and it’s showing data usage more than I’m using.

In the MyVerizon app, my data is used when I’m in a WiFi connected zone.  In example, 8:09pm - 2.07mb used, 8:36pm 478mb used.  The device was connected to WiFi within 5 hours in that period.

Why is my data being used when I’m connected to WiFi.

1% of my data is drained in the morning when I’m connected to WiFi. So I’m missing almost 30% of my monthly data from a 15 gb plan when I’m in a WiFi network.

I’m seeing frequent data usage when I’m in a connected WiFi area.

Is verizon forcing customer to pay more to subscribe to their unlimited plan?

It would let you know if it's actually calculating differently if you have something to compare it to.

Alternatively, it sounds like you have wifi assist turned on.
