My caller ID shows the wrong name, I tried the shared name and was told it could take 72 hours, the tech was supposed to call me to make sure it worked. It did not work & I never got that phone call! Very irritated
Share name ID would work with others receiving calls that are 'share name ID' compatible, ie: Verizon Wireless to Verizon Wireless calls. If you're calling another provider that can't read the share name ID feature, you may need to contact that carrier to have them update the caller ID name associated with your phone number in their specific database
