I recently added my wife to my account and purchased an iPhone X. The phone does not ring on about 80% of incoming calls instead going straight to voice mail. Where we live Verison's signal is terrible. I only 3G data speed most times. When my phone, Samsung S7, does show a 4G signal there are never more than 1 or 2 bars showing, this is a different subject for a differetn time though.
Even though Verizon's data speeds are horrible I can still receive calls on my Samsung.
Is the problem with her iPhone X an Apple issue or a Verizon issue? We are currently paying for a very expensive useless piece-o-crap phone.
Sounds frustrating. I can't answer if there is an issue with the iPhone X she has.. but I would suggest using Wi-Fi calling if you have Wi-Fi at home. This may help in general.
Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling > Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone (I'm on iOS 11.3 public beta but I believe it is the same path).
I have noticed different phones/OEMs having different signal strengths but I'm not an expert when it comes to signal.
PDLK, we want to ensure that your wife is enjoying her new phone and receiving the service that she needs. When looking at her device, does she have a steady signal or does it appear to be searching for a connection? Does she have a case on her device? If this is limited to the home, using the Wi-Fi calling is a great option.
