99.9% of the time the VZW reps have no idea what’s going on.

What does your online status say? Does it still say 11/3? If it still says 11/3 then it's still possible you will get it Friday 11/3. Of course it has to ship first. So if it hasn't shipped by Wednesday it's less likely you'll get it on 11/3.

I ordered only at 1218 (a bit late)
i see that verizon just charged my card, and my order changed from pending to processing
all it it said before was the 11/3 estimated ship
so I would assume that anyone who ordered before me should be getting it as well
the only other thing I wonder is if they prioritze depending on what plan you are on
i am on the unlimited plan
not sure if it matters

I called fedex the other day about this because I will be at work when fedex delivers, the gal I spoke with said all I need to do is put a note on the front door that tells the driver you authorize them to leave the package at the front door, and include your signature on the note. No need for a door tag or anything like that. That being said, I’m still a little skeptical about this information and I’m considering calling them back and asking them to hold the package at the facility so I can just go pick it up after work...

Piscestg - you guys were correct! Verzion Customer Service Rep don't quite know the details themselves. After the dude told me that my phone will only SHIP on friday and probably will only get it next week. I earlier woke up to an email by FedEx with a tracking number indicating that I IN FACT will be getting my phone DELIVERED this Friday. This is perfect timing and news as friday also happens to be my scheduled day off. Can't Wait!
So moral of this story - if your order confirmation initially said "Deliver 11/3" it's probs gonna happen, unless something gets effed up real bad.

Holding the delivery through FedEx is easy and is what I am opting to do. No risk of some shady folks getting sticky fingers...

Ordered two as soon as the online preordering window started. Got the confirmation email from the order and online it says it gives a date of 11/03 for "ship by" and "deliver by". However, the status online still says Pending and we haven't received any tracking info yet.

kevinesque Good deal! I knew you would get the tracking info today.
Like you, I will be home Friday also. I'm conveniently having some contractor work at home. Of course I told my boss that they need to do it Friday.

Is anyone else unable to track using FedEx? The tracking number provided by Verizon "cannot be found." It's been like this for a couple of days now. I have an account with FedEx and have tried searching by address and phone number too - no luck. Very frustrated.
