Who I have the same questioned this topic

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I am receiving unwanted Texet messages on my device form people i don't even know.  Iv asked to be removed from the group Texted but no luck.  Could some one please help me.  The application I'm using is the Verizon Messenger.  If this isn't something that could be solved maybe Verizon could do a application update with an added feature on having the option to LEAVE GROUP!!!!!
