Who I have the same questioned this topic

I recently ordered a new Iphone 13 Pro Max and the ship date is 11/5/21.  I'm trading in my old phone for a credit.  It shows that I need to ship the old phone back before my new phone actually arrives.  If I'm past the ship back due date, will this void the trade in value of my phone?
