Hello Verizon, 

I recently started my own Verizon plan and transferred my old phone number from US. Cellular. I am able to send text messages to a select few of my contacts and I am able to make outgoing calls. But, I have not been receiving my contacts text messages to me or there phone calls to me. When they call my phone number the call goes straight to voicemail and I receive no notification of the call or anything. My contacts say that they text me but I receive no text. I am a new customer and needless to say this is disappointing and frustrating. What can be done to fix this issue?
