Verizon refuses to close my account.

Verizon refuses to close account. I've tried since May of 21. The account has no devices or services so I can't even log into web page. I've been kept on hold for over an hour on several occasions with no answer. The account has a credit balance and they just send a credit statement. And, close an account is not an option in their "Support" tab. Frustrated!
