Using Fios Quantum Router as a Bridge to Alien

I followed the non official bridge setup instructions and ran into a problem. Even though this has been working flawlessly for about a year, I recently discovered I hae the LAN cable going from the Alien into the Quantum LAN port.  A recent visit by a tech advised that the ethernet should go from the ONT, into the WAN port of the Quantum, then out to the WAN port of the Alien.....I did was he had advised, and no tv picture, only the guide.   2nd issue...I can no longer access the Fios setup on Quantum as the IP I changed it too was incorrect.  Need I reset the Quantum and start from scratch, with the proper cable setup??
