I switched to Verizon in August and took advantage of a trade-in promotional credit. I sent the old phones in exactly how they recommended and saved the UPS shipping label. The tracking information shows the phones arrived a few days later.
Then in October I got an email saying my device promotional credit was removed from my account. My next phone bill was almost 40% higher including one-time charges with 'promotional chargeback'. I talked with the representative at the store and they had me call the Verizon *611 number. After a long call I was told they filed a promotional correction form for my account and there shouldn't be any issues because I provided all the necessary information.
The issue still isn't fixed on my phone bill and now when I search my trade in status it shows no record of it. If it's not fixed on my December phone bill (with credits for paying extra on past months!) I think I was given the run-around (like a lot of other posts here) where they hope I just forget about it.
Verizon needs to fix their trade in process, this happens so often there's multiple forums online where people say this is an issue!
