In the last 2 weeks, my phone says it’s used 889 gb. 55 gb contributed from apps and system services, and 822gb from personal hotspot. Within the menu of hotspot, I have my computer showing 7gb, and “other devices” accounting for 814gb in 2 weeks. No other devices have connected to my hotspot. This is not an anomaly. It happens to a lot, if not everyone. This has been happening for years and there has been no quality response from Apple or the mobile providers as to what all this data being sent to and from my phone is for.
It’s been suggested that it’s an error, but in the last 20 or more updates, this hasnt been addressed? Also, nothing with my realm suggests it’s an error. All I can see is an amount of data being transmitted to and from my phone. We herd animals are restricted from seeing or knowing WHAT data is sent from our phones.
Considering lessons of the past, it’s only logical to assume this is for nefarious reasons that we would object to if we knew what you’re doing. We know there is a legal minimum requirement to show how much data is consumed, which is the only reason it’s there.
Why don’t you tell us what it’s for? Thats an awful lot of data.
