Empty Trash Will Not Work in Cloud

I cleaned off my phone and am starting from scratch, so I logged into the Verizon cloud and deleted all my data from there (besides, I had already hit the storage limit). But I cannot empty the trash. It says there is a problem with the server and it cannot connect right now. I saw messages from people on this forum from two weeks ago with this problem and no solution to it. As of now, I have nothing backing up my phone and that's kind of annoying. I would appreciate any info you guys might have!
