I went to a Verizon wireless store to get a newer iPhone, she has 6 so I got her 8, for mothers day. The guy got me the phone and it stayed in the box. I gave it to her the next day and set it up myself. Backed up and restored to icloud from old phone to new, switched sim cards myself. The sales rep didn't touch the phone or open the box. My question is why do I have to pay a $35 device setup. I called the customer service number and they said it was for the saleperson helping you. Don't they get a salary to do that? They didn't setup anything. Sold me a phone, that's it. That $35 should be refunded in my opinion. No Device setup was done.
