Modifying Home Gateway Network

Hello all,

I'm a new Verizon home internet customer using the 5G Gateway (Fios not available at my address), and I am constantly losing internet connectivity due to the high volume of people in my area. I live near a shopping mall, movie theater—an exceptionally busy area with a lot of restaurants and shopping locations. I am not convinced that this problem will be resolved anytime soon, so I'm looking for a work around and I really, really want to keep all my services through Verizon rather than getting my internet from one of the local competitors.

I would like to know if anyone knows of a way to force my Gateway to connect to the 4G LTE network rather than the 5G UW network. Here is why:

When there is heavy congestion, I can switch my iPhone to use only LTE, and yes, that drastically lowers by up/down speeds, but I can keep a consistent and viable connection on LTE. I would like to be able to SOMEHOW toggle this option on the Gateway so that I don't intermittently lose internet access when my area gets busy.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you in C-band or millimeterWave area?

Did you find a way to do this?  I am interested in doing this also.  5G is not that reliable in my area either.  I would like to connect to a 4G LTE connection also when a 5G connection becomes unstable.
