I am beyond disappointed in my experience with switching to Verizon. Between activation issues which caused many trips to the store. To initial messed bills that took months to sort out after the messed up activations, to a brand new but defective phone that caused a fight between corporate and the store to even be able to return within the first 30 days!! To still not getting great service. But the absolute cherry on top is this was totally mislead with the promise of FREE GIFTCARDS!! When I convinced my whole family to bring us all over to Verizon, I did so with the promise of $30/month service (later found out we how limited that was and was forced to upgrade), better service (not seen yet), and GIFTCARDS between $200-$350 PER LINE depending on if we were keeping our phones or getting new ones. We we emphatically told by the agent on the phone that the GIFTCARDS would be automatically sent within 6-8 weeks to my email. I activated in September and its January. No email. When I called within the month of activating, and asked they said it hadn't been the 6-8 weeks yet. I called again today and GUESS WHAT? They said that I am no longer eligible for these REBATES cause I didnt apply to them.... I tried to explain that I was told they were gift cards and not rebates but again confirmed otherwise. No where in my activation call, many trips to the store, or calls to customer service did anyone say anything about my needed to apply for or even using the word rebate. We are talking over $1K in giftcards we were going to use to offset the high bills this year. How can you offer this promotion as a benefit and then set requirements that are not communicated to the customer, not in phone... No email was sent. When I asked to escalate I was denied. Wishing I never switched.
