"Loss of data connection" problem

I know this is an old post, but has anyone found a solution? My partner has the Razr M, and Verizon has replaced the sim card, change the connection from global to coma/lte, and that hasn't fixed the problem. One "tech" in the verizon store, said that it was because Chrome was disabled—funny it happened after it was enabled.

The (removed) solution that verizon tech support gave us was to turn on airplane mode and then turn it off again, this works until you're driving and need the navigation.

Finally, they shipped a refurbished one and after a few days it's losing the data connection as well. We're in a 4g area in Toledo, I don't have a problem on my Note 2.
