Verizon Messages (Message+) is a texting app that lets you sync your texting conversations across all your compatible devices. Verizon Messages (Message+) is separate from your phone’s other texting apps (i.e., iMessage, Google Messages, etc.).
Important:
- Starting on October 2, 2024, Verizon will start to shut down the Verizon Message+ app.
- The app will be fully discontinued on November 7, 2024.
- Once the Message+ app is shut down, you won’t be able to use the Message+ app to send and receive messages.
- You also won’t be able to view the app in the Apple app store or Google Play Store.
- For Android devices, Verizon recommends switching to Google Messages as the replacement app for messaging. For more information, see VZ Messages Recommendations.
- Apple Messages is recommended for iPhone® and iPad devices.
- The ability to send and receive text messages on Verizon’s website is discontinued.
- eGift cards are no longer available to buy through Message+ after April 2024. You can redeem previously purchased eGift cards after this date.
