Please help - lost order

I ordered the new iPhone 14 pro on September 17th. My credit card has been charged and I have the order confirmation via email. it's still not ready for pickup despite the store having them in stock. When i called Verizon the woman told me she did not have my order. I don't know how i'd be able to give her the location tag, order confirmation etc if the order doesn't exist.
This is super frustrating as i could have just bought the phone at Apple and picked it up the same day.
