brand new phone has call time listed

My new out of the box iPhone 6 plus has 9 days of call time listed? I did not restore from back up this is right out of the box. Any thoughts or experience with this? I believe it to be refurbished.

Did you setup iCloud? If so then you used a backup without realizing it.
