We cant figure out why my mother in laws phone which is on my plan will not except messages from my wife or my daughter recently.

call verizon at 611 and ask for tech support. it maybe that the texting is being blocked either by accident or in the switch.
Tech support wil need you to have the phone that cannot receive available. I would call verizon from another phone either landline or cell to have them look into it.

Let's see what's causing the problem! Which device does your mother in law have? As
Elector suggested, have you confirmed if blocks were added accidentally? Can she send message to them? Can she receive all other messages? I look forward to hearing from you soon.
