2 iphones 6; one has great wifi signal and one has only one bar?

All of a sudden my daughter's iphone 6 does not have a good wifi signal at home and at school.

Can the wifi hardware inside the phone go bad?

I have tried to completely reset the phone to factory and start over, but to no avail.

Please Help!

Antenna connections can come loose, usually following dropping episodes.
