Can I Use my Verizon iPhone 6 in Finland?

My daughter will be heading over to Finland for a year on exchange - she has an iPhone 6S with Verizon and it has been suggested that we have her purchase a SIM card from a provider over in Finland in lieu of continuing to use it with Verizon.  Is it possible to do this without any issues, and is her phone compatible with the wireless carriers over in Finland (i.e. CDMA)?

If it is a VZW phone it is CDMA with Finland using GSM.  Now, there is never a guarantee that everything will work with another carrier's sim and a VZW phone designed for CDMA but with Apple devices-- chances are pretty good that most everything will work with just an insertion of the sim into the phone and an update of network settings via Settings>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
