Can I upgrade to the iPhone 5 a week early at the discounted price?

I will be eligible for an upgrade on 10/10/12. However, I would like to upgrade earlier than that, either 9/29/12 or 10/4/12. Is there any way that I would be able to upgrade at the regular, subsidized price? I do not care about keeping the unlimited data.

NOTE: I walked into a Verizon store and bought the iPhone 4 when it first came out on Verizon. Not sure if that helps, but yeah.

Doubtful, but it can't hurt to try. You do know that you will most likely only be ordering it as it will probably not be in stock?

I was thinking about them just moving the upgrade date up so I can go to a RadioShack or a local small Verizon store and get it there.

Doubtful. Oftentimes, they will let you upgrade early but for the iphone 5 that's not likely but it can't hurt to call to ask. Supplies are tight so ordering now or on the 10th won't make much of a difference.
