Can i setup my voicemail greeting with an mp3 file?

I am told that since i am transferring from ATT my voicemail greeting will not be moved or saved as part of the iphone backup.  Can i set up the greeting using an mp3 i have of the old one.  Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of a way to upload an MP3 as a Voicemail greeting, but you could play back the MP3 into the phone mic while recording I suppose.

We totally understand how important it is to make your switch to us seemless, flywheeler. Reviewing options with the voice mail, Apple does not offer an option to use a MP3 as your voicemail greeting. The best suggestion is to locate an app that can play an MP3 for you while on a call. This should allow you to play that MP3 while recording your voice mail greeting.
