Recently I have started to notice that some of my contacts don't receive my FaceTime calls. That person called me and it went through. As we were talking, I learned that they also aren't getting my texts. I noticed that the little "delivered" messages isn't showing up. I decided to try and call that person and it rang once, then went to voicemail. They didn't end the call. When I went back through my messages, I noticed that they weren't sending for another individual. I thought it might be a certain wireless company, but they each have different carriers. I tried deleting our message history and resetting my phone, but neither seem to work. I went from being able to talk to them no problems, to not at all. They can still call and text me, but I cannot call or text them. HELP!
Ok, its a long shot but this is what I was experiencing on my son's iPhone 6. I did all the troubleshooting I knew and contacted Apple and as a last ditch effort, before a factory reset, the had me check the date / time on the device. Sure enough my son changed it. He learns these "hacks" on YouTube to trick certain games that only let you play x amount of lives per hour etc.
I could not believe it. But it impacts FaceTime, iMessage, etc.
Settings > General > Data & Time > make sure you have set automatically toggled on.
If this is not it I would maybe backup your device and restore to factory (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content......). Try it before you restore from backup to see if your having the same issues / challenges. Let us know if either of these resolve the issue.
We're here for support. Do you notice any difference when turning your device off, uninstalling the SIM Card, and turning the device back on again?
