Connection issues on Iphone 4

Is Iphone 4 or verizon currently having connection issues? I have never had an issue before, but today every call I make either drops the moment the other person picks up, or I can hear them but they cannot hear me. This happened to me over 10 times today while calling 5 different people. I then tried to use my fiancee's phone to make the call (she also has an iphone 4 and verizon but is not on the same plan as me), but the same thing happened from her phone. We are in the Cincinnati OH area and have never had these issues while calling from the same location.
