***Announcement: Welcome to the new Verizon Community! We have merged our Wireless and Fios Communities to bring you the best place to discuss any Verizon product or service, along with all things tech! We have many new features to discuss with you in the coming weeks, but first we want to make sure that all of you who have been active on either of our communities before are able to log in!
For many of you, we have been able to merge your Wireless and Fios community accounts so all of your Community contributions are all in one place. If you were active in both communities and you previously used the same My Verizon account to log into both, you’re all set! You will be able to use those same credentials to access the new Community. If one of those accounts was with My Verizon and the other was a Community Member Only account, please use your My Verizon account to log in. Please note that we were only able to merge those accounts that were attributed to the same email address.
If you only had one account on either Community, you can log into that account exactly as you have before. For some of our Fios Community members, you may have an issue logging in. If you had an account on the Fios Community and you’re having login issues, please use the Community Member Only login page and use the “Forgot my info” link to reset your password. Once you complete this, you should be able to log in normally. If you continue to have any further issues logging in, please email us at verizon.community.team@verizon.com and we’ll assist you to get you back in the Community! Couldn't make the call to finish activation process and now phone won't activate.

I have an iPhone 4s and while I'm away in Ireland I have tried activating my phone through the verizon website. I made it as far the last step where it said to make a call to *### (* followed by 3 digits). I could not complete this step as I have no cell service here in Ireland. I now am trying to use iMessage and I just keep getting the message "waiting for activation..." I have tried countless ways to activate my device, including resetting it through iTunes twice, resetting my network, turning the phone off and on, signing in and out of my Apple ID, as well as other techniques and nothing is working. Is there anything I can do to complete the activation service or is it just taking my phone a while to finish activating? Any advice/knowledge on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Verizon data stream is required to activate and your are now outside there North American Network System. You could try calling there Global Network service number, but your best move would be to purchase a low cost phone from a local phone store.

Out side USA call,

After the tone, enter your Verizon Wireless calling card number and PIN. 3. After the tone enter 0-908-559-4899. 4. The Verizon Wireless Global Roaming Hotline will then prompt you to enter your 10-digit mobile number.       

  USA only,  Customers may call (800) 711-8300 to speak to a Global Services Activation Specialist

IIf the 4s is unlocked you can use it with a local SIM card cheaper than Verizon roaming.

since Verizon is unlocking all phones now, yours may be ready to use.  Test with a local sim...
