I'm traveling to the Bahamas. If the hotel has wifi, am I charged for using their network?

Joe31,
The Bahamas sounds fanatastic! Congrats on your upcoming travels, I hope your trip is awesome. Utilizing WiFi is the best option to help you avoid data charges on the Verizon Wireless Network. You would have to check with the hotel to inquire on their pricing for using their Internet Wifi Network. Hope this helps!
Have a great trip!

Every hotel is different, but the ones I've stayed have at least had free Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby. In Punta Cana, there was a small charge for using Wi-Fi in the rooms. As Pamela mentioned, check with your hotel; it should be listed on its Web site.
When you check into your hotel, look for a sign at the counter showing the name of a free Wi-Fi network and the password. Remember to turn off your data connection before you leave the U.S., as international data is $20+/MB if you don't have an add-on!
