Dropping calls

I want to voice my displeasure over the constant dropping of calls by my iPhone 4. I feel like the only thing I can do with it is text. Will verizon do anything to fix this problem? I feel like I am paying for nothing. This week I went to call Peco to report the electric out and I couldn't even report an emergency!
