I got the 4S back in July, and am thinking about upgrading early to the 5. Just for clarification, if I order online from Verizon, will there be a new SIM card, or will I need to take the phones to a Verizon store and get the card swapped? Also, will the phone come with the redesigned EarPods and charging adapters? Thanks. Also, how much do you think I could get on eBay for the 4S? Do you think it's worth upgrading early?

I am pretty sure the new phone would come with a new SIM card. Your current SIM would not work as it is only for 3g service. As far as what it comes with;
Included in the box:
- Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
- Lightning to USB Cable
- USB Power Adapter
- Documentation
I don't think the iPhone 5 is worth upgrading early to (I assume you are going to pay full price) as it just was not that great of a change from the 4s. Many of the additions I was looking for were not added. No NFC, no ability to use data while on a call, etc. Again this is just my opinion.
Good luck

You would have to pay full retail use another lines upgrade or add a line. So is it really worth it.
