Hi.
So I have the Samsung Reality right now and I would like to upgrade to the iPhone 4S but my 2 year contract ends on March 10th, 2013. Is there a possibility I could upgrade early? Maybe at least 2 weeks early? Because I'm going to a California trip for school a few days before my contract ends and I would like to have my iPhone 4S before I go. Thank you.
If your contract ends on March 10 then you are eligible for an upgrade November 10th.
As long as they have it in stock.
yes
When you contract ends doesn't matter. Verizon let's you upgrade 4 months early. There is a $30 upgrade fee that will be on your next bill. You will incur this fee if you upgrade now or in 4 months. Also the Reality is a feature is it not? So you'll also have to get a data plan.
I'll try to make this as clear as possible. Verizon allows you to upgrade with discounted pricing(in exchange for signing a new 2yr contract) 4 months before the end of your contract the same way as if you waited until your contract ends. If you choose to do so, Verizon waives the remainder of your current contract and you are NOW in a NEW contract beginning the day you choose to upgrade. There is no difference(or penalty) if you wait until the end of your contract or upgrade anytime during the last 4 months of your current contract. There are no fees which you would not have if you had waited. The fees would be the same if you upgrade during the last 4 months or after your contract ends. I hope this clears up any confusion.
So I think the question is what the OP really means by "my 2 year contract ends on March 10th, 2013" If that is the contract end date, then yes, as others have said, you can upgrade at subsidized price from Nov 10. If you are going by messages on My Verizon of the form "eligible for upgrade 03/10/2013" that is the earliest upgrade date, and your contract ends 4 months after that. Both dates are available on My Verizon, but usually the Eligible for Upgrade is easier to see!
