Also of a sudden can't receive my mail. Says my user name or password not correct for hotmail.
Can you login via Hotmail.com on your browser? If so, I'd simply try to retype it in settings on the iPhone. Also, maybe try the Outlook mail app vs. the native Mail app if that is what your using.
Error messages are what makes life like a box of chocolates, you sometimes don't know what you are getting. However in this case, it seems somehow your password is incorrect for certain. Have you uninstalled and reinstalled your hotmail account? Please try to access your hotmail from a computer by doing a full log in with your password and see if it takes it.Also on your device, you would need to re enter your password to the correct password. Have you changed it anywhere lately?
