I recently changed my number on my iPhone 5C. However, since I live in an Extended Network area, I had to go several miles to activate the new number. Now I have no service in the extended coverage area that I live in. What am I supposed to do about this?
The only thing that I can think of that could possibly be a problem is that I accidentally took out the SIM card while the phone was still turned on. It might also not be related to the number change since it started just before I left to get it activated.
Oh no! We want to help you restore the great service you've enjoyed in the past, montanaschrocks. Taking the SIM card out without powering the phone down first may harm the SIM card and possibly the device. You may need a new SIM card, which will also need to be activated in a Verizon Wireless area. You can pick one up at a Verizon Wireless owned store http://bit.ly/3SdsA or I can send one to you. I have sent you a follow request here in the forum. If you'd like me to order the SIM for you, please access https://community.verizonwireless.com/actions to accept my request and follow me back so you can send me a private message with your name and mobile number so we can get started.
