OK, so I just traded phones with a friend but i don't know how to activate i tried *228 but it wont work any suggestions?

Hello ptoussaint26,  Let's make sure you can enjoy your new iPhone!  Has the other user successfully activated your old phone on their account?  A great resource to activate the phone is http://vzw.com/myverizon.  There will be a link to "Activate/Switch Device"  once there you will be prompted to enter the MEID found on the phone through Settings>General>About.  Please feel free to reach out if you still need additional support.

Ok I'm at the page but i can't login since i don't have an account and the phone won't receive the temp password
